Athena Mills

Athena Mills is a compassionate and skilled family law attorney serving the Sacramento community and surrounding areas. Licensed to practice in California since 2015, Ms. Mills brings over a decade of dedicated family law experience to her clients, with a practice that spans divorce and legal separation, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, and domestic violence restraining orders. Her breadth of experience across the full spectrum of family law ensures that Sacramento-area clients have a knowledgeable advocate by their side at every stage of the process.

Ms. Mills was drawn to family law by the complex emotional and psychological dimensions of the practice — and her commitment to helping families, especially children, navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives has guided her career ever since. She is known for creating a safe, comfortable environment for her clients while simultaneously serving as a fierce advocate for their interests and the well-being of their children. “I am compassionate and attentive,” Ms. Mills has said, “and I am also a passionate advocate who strives to do what is necessary to protect the interests of my clients and their children.“

While Ms. Mills is fully prepared to litigate when necessary, she also recognizes that cooperation and patience can often lead to more favorable outcomes for all involved. Ms. Mills earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management, with a minor in Legal Studies, from the University of San Francisco, and her Juris Doctor — with a concentration in Child, Elder, and Family Law — from California Western School of Law. She is a proud member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association, and proudly serves clients throughout Sacramento and the surrounding region.
